Privacy Policy

The Core Masculine is run by CORE SELF COACHING LIMITED (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
The short version
What you write is sensitive, so we keep as little as possible. Your conversations are stored on your phone, not on our servers. To reply to you, the app sends your messages to AI providers, and only after you have said yes on the consent screen. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
- What you type into the app, and short notes the app writes to carry a conversation forward. These are stored on your device. Our server passes your messages on to the AI providers to produce a reply and does not keep their content.
- Technical data needed to run the service safely, such as an anonymous install identifier and request counts used to prevent abuse and control costs. This is not linked to your name.
- Your voice, only if you use voice input. The recording is sent for transcription into text and is not kept by us.
- Emails you send us at the support address.
We do not ask for your name, email address or account to use the app, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
Who your messages are sent to
When you send a message, it is sent securely through our server to the AI provider that generates the reply. We use:
- Google (Gemini)
- OpenAI (replies, and turning your voice into text)
- Anthropic (Claude)
- Deepgram (the voice that reads replies aloud, if you use the Listen button; it receives the text of the reply, and we ask it not to use that text to improve its models)
These providers process your messages on our behalf, some in the United States, to generate a response. They may keep data for a limited period under their own terms, for example to detect abuse. International transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses or the UK data bridge. We also use Cloudflare to host our website and server.
Why we process it, and your consent
What you share may reveal details about your emotional wellbeing, which is treated as sensitive data. We rely on your explicit consent, given on the consent screen before any message is sent. You can withdraw it at any time in the app under AI and data; the app then stops sending messages. For technical and abuse-prevention data we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and affordable.
How long we keep things
Conversations stay on your phone until you delete them (AI and data → Delete all my conversations) or delete the app. We do not hold copies. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to help you and then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Because we hold almost nothing about you, most of this you can do yourself in the app. For anything else, email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Safety
If a message suggests you may be in immediate danger, the app shows crisis support information instead of an AI reply. We do not contact anyone on your behalf.
Age
The app is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where needed, ask for your consent again.
